Opened in 1972 by Italian carburettor manufacturer Luigi Dell’Orto, the Admiral Hotel is a functional-looking property with tiers of balconies lining the façade. The spacious lobby is decorated with naval antiques. The 60 soundproof guestrooms feature light décor, complemented by patterned linens and 18th-century furnishings. They also have ante-rooms with closets and mirrors and en suite bathrooms with shower, tub, hair dryer and telephone. The hotel’s James Bond-themed Piano Bar and Café offers guests the chance to sip vodka martinis (shaken not stirred, of course) or to enjoy delicious Italian cooking and Chinese and Japanese specialties, accompanied by exceptional wines from the cellar.
