The Town House 12 Hotel is a chic, intimate property, which occupies a renovated 19th century building. The medium sized lobby is furnished in an elegant, fine style and has a seating area featuring white sofas, poufs and dark furniture. Also medium sized, the 18 guestrooms are tastefully decorated in cream colour schemes, lending them a very comfortable atmosphere. The futon-style beds and the decorations evoke a Japanese feel. All rooms are also equipped with dark wooden furniture. The restaurant is elegant and continues the Japanese ambience. Rather unusually, the hotel also contains the celebrated Absolut Icebar Milano, where the temperature is always a brisk minus 5° celcius. A joint venture between Sweden's Icehotel, Milan's Town House hotels and Absolut, the bar's walls, tables, and chandelier are carved from 100 tons of Swedish river ice. Inside, fur-swathed bartenders mix vodka cocktails in frozen tumblers, while daring patrons shiver to the sounds of Björk as they recline on icy sofas.
